Premium components are tuned to perfection for the unique sealed acoustic enclosure to ensure you hear a balanced, articulate and full-range sound that can bring you closer to the music than ever before. Featuring the same components as other products in the Transparent range, the Steel Speaker employs two 3″ custom-designed full-range speakers suspended in the enclosure, a custom 6.5″ woofer with a custom-designed Class-D amplifier and tuned DSP chip. The addition of the large 6.5″ woofer ensures that when these premium components are combined, the result is a full-range frequency response with incredible depth and clarity from 35Hz – 20kHz. The heavy steel enclosure adds to the personality of your Steel Speaker, producing a deeper, warmer timbre over traditional speaker designs giving you the best listening experience possible.

The custom-designed 3″ drivers and 6.5″ woofer is fine-tuned for their enclosure to ensure a controlled reproduction of frequencies, providing a massive sound that will fill any home or workspace with detail and punch. The finely tuned DSP-chip gels together all elements of the design to make sure you don’t miss any detail in your music with a crystal clear top end and rich vibrant depth.

Modular design for constant improvement

Following true Scandinavian principles of building creations that are made to last. The Steel Speaker employs a ‘closed loop’ system’, which means new components and systems can be added as the latest wireless technology develops. The modular design makes it very simple to upgrade components, going as far as to include clear instructions on how to disassemble your speaker, encouraging you to get to know and understand how your speaker works and how the parts interact with each other. This will enable you to embrace the design ethos and change how electronic items are consumed.

Currently compatible with Apple AirPlay, Sonos, Google Cast and Amazon Alexa Echo for multi-room WiFi streaming, you can take advantage of the voice control features for a truly contemporary listening experience.

Adapting to a modular design means owners can keep their speaker updated by changing only a small part of it – a compartment in the bottom of the speaker is what holds and powers wireless upgrades.

Upcycled from Swedish steel

Hand-crafted by blacksmith Jonas Majors, the Steel Speaker continues the ethos of the Transparent line of speakers by using recycled steel to create the unique and striking enclosure. Mastering both traditional and modern techniques has enabled Jonas to apply his depth of knowledge to his projects in order to stretch the limits of creativity to produce unique and captivating pieces of art. Utilising both forging and computer-controlled plasma cutting, the fusion of the old with the new combines harmoniously in change what we think is possible with blacksmithing.

The raw metal texture of the aged steel enclosure manifests the commanding presence of the Steel Speaker, signifying the power and weight of the sound and functionality. Unapologetically stripped back to include only the essentials, the Steel Speaker issues a statement of timeless, minimalist and expressive design that encapsulates the methods of simplicity and functionality that transcends trends to compliment any style of home. The modular design for improved functionality over time and the use of upcycled materials make the Steel Speaker one of the most environmentally friendly loudspeakers ever to be produced.
