For high quality digital decoding with the means of maintaining signal clarity through either your headphones or a range of dynamic outputs, look no further than the Topping DX5 DAC and Headphone Amplifier. Topping have painstakingly engineered a combination of modest size with powerful capability. Dual ES9068AS DAC chips have been integrated as the heart of the low-noise D/A circuitry, supporting USB decoding up to PCM 768Khz/32bit and DSD512 native. The digital Optical / Coaxial inputs can be connected to A/V sources such as Blu-ray, TV or games console for improved home audio as well as supporting MQA Full Decoding, delivering authentic playback for a studio level of detail.
Multifunctional Outputs
Besides the OLED display, the front panel all features both 6.35mm jack and 4-Pin XLR headphone outputs. Thanks to NFCA circuitry present throughout a range of Topping amps, pair with a range of headphone sensitivities whilst still maintaining exceptionally low levels of distortion. Between 1800mW per channel at 32Ω and 250mW at 300Ω, the DX5 fits the most power hungry over-ear headphones or sensitive IEMs alike.
The DX5 also gives you the option of switching from a headphone amplifier to a preamplifier, with a pair of single ended RCA and balanced XLR outputs found on the rear panel. By connecting to either a power amplifier or active speakers, use the same powerful DAC capabilities to send high quality audio to your sound system all from a compact footprint. The DX5 is completely adaptable and comes with four output modes: Headphone amp, headphone amp + line out, DAC and preamplifier.
