High Excursion Driver

Driver design has been significantly improved over the previous model; not only is it larger, but this extra surface area is contained within a proprietary injection moulded extreme-excursion surround which promotes controlled piston movements for sonic clarity and accuracy. This improved 12-inch driver also features a dual ferrite magnet motor for effortless bass delivery. The fibre composite cone has improved stiffness for achieving high sound pressure levels with minimal delay or unwanted noise. Linearity and fidelity are improved too with the addition of a dual-layer voice coil mechanism.

Sledge STA-325D

Amplification is provided by the PB-1000 Pro’s STA-325D Amplifier; a class D amp capable of 325 Watts but with over 820 Watts of peak power potential. Class D amplifiers are a classic choice for subwoofers given their high efficiency; they can achieve high power without taking up too much space within the subwoofer unit. For consumers, this means smaller, more convenient-sized subwoofers are available which still boast great power output. The STA-325D feature fully discrete MOSFETs (metal oxide semiconductor field-effect transistors) which have high input impedances and will process lots of incoming signals for amplification.

Pro Control

Conveniently control your PB-1000 Pro from a smartphone or tablet. Simply download the SVS app for iOS, Android or Amazon devices and set up your subwoofer via Bluetooth. From the app, save custom presets for tuning to specific settings in the touch of a button. Adjust your EQ with the 3-band parametric controller and get sound to the right levels for your room acoustics.

User Interface

On the rear of the PB-1000 subwoofer, you’ll find an intelligent control interface with blue lights for status indication. From here you can adjust the subwoofer’s tuning levels, low pass filter and phase. Next to this interface there is a USB port, RCA audio interconnect input and speaker level stereo inputs for connecting the optional SVS SoundPath Wireless Audio Adapter, AV receivers/pre-amps, or older legacy receivers respectively.

Inert and Braced

To keep the PB-1000 Pro rigid and devoid of annoying rattles, SVS has designed the subwoofer in an extra-thick MDF cabinet with internal bracing. A dual port design facilitates airflow in such a way that minimises distortion and enhances the quality of the bass delivery. Acoustic insulation has been added to eliminate any colouration arising from the cabinet itself. A fabric mesh grille is also supplied to help protect the subwoofer’s driver and boost the longevity of your investment.
