Because of their carefully tuned, open-back acoustic structure, the Sony MDR-MV1s deliver studio monitor sound in the headphones. They have an ultra-wide frequency response from 5Hz to 80kHz that is both well-balanced and uncoloured, resulting in high-resolution and clear sound; presenting sound sources exactly as they should sound.

Yes, the open-back structure is carefully tuned – but what does this mean? The structure is designed to not generate inherent reflected sound within its housing, so the reverberant character of virtual spaces can be accurately reproduced. And the HD driver units with a curved corrugation diaphragm shape and Tri-duct structure allow the MDR-MV1s to achieve a rich low-frequency range reproduction simultaneously with a super high-frequency range.

Supreme spatial and stereo sound

Accurate, high-quality 360-degree mixing is hard to achieve with headphones sometimes. Though this is not the case with the Sony MDR-MV1s. They are optimised so that sound object positions and movements are accurately placed enabling “Spatial Sound Creation in the headphones”. And the detachable cable uses a screw system – so you get both a secure connection and easy cable replacement.
