The included Ortofon Quintet Black S Cartridge is equipped with a 20-degree vertical tracking angle, 2.1-2.5g tracking force range, and a Nude Shibata diamond stylus to produce an incredible sound. The cartridge can be easily attached to the rigid Tonearm 9cc Evolution which houses ABEC 7 inverted bearings to allow the stylus to gently glide across the vinyl’s groove at 33 and 45 RPM. The high-performing, belt drive setup eliminates any unwanted vibrations and undertakes shock to maintain a pure sound. Hear your favourite songs as clearly as possible thanks to reduced motor noise.

High-Quality Platter

The primary platter is expertly crafted using an aluminium alloy that has been damped with thermo plastic elastomers (TPE), which is unlike other turntables in the Xtension 9’s price range. The premium platter provides excellent stability and enhances the Xtension 9’s ability to track records and creates a unique sound. The high-quality mat is made from recycled vinyl, with its smooth surface making it the perfect place to rest your records as you get immersed in your music. The included dust cover reduces the amount of grit and dust on your records to ensure their superior sound can be maintained.

High-Density Design

The Pro-Ject Xtension 9’s MDF-constructed, heavy chassis is filled with metal granulate to enable world-class rigidity and low resonance to keep the sound output extremely clear. The high mass, dense plinth is decoupled from its base thanks to the brilliantly designed magnetic feet which allow the turntable to appear as if it is floating. The novel ‘floating turntable’ design, allows the Xtension 9 to take your vinyl’s sound to new heights. To further enhance the sound, it’s best to place Xtension 9 on a low resonance surface such as wood to create a sharper sound.
