Klipsch introduces the next generation of their Reference Premiere series with the new and improved RP-500M MKII Bookshelf Speaker. A great entry point at this value, get a taste for what this generation has to offer with innovative technologies shared with loudspeakers across the range.
For years, Klipsch have impressed audiences with the emotive voice of their speakers. The RP-500M MKII is no outlier and is capable of robust performances for its size. A perfect compliment for any high fidelity music room or home cinema experience, with a streamlined design suited for a wide array of décors.
Larger Horn, Larger Soundstage
Klipsch’s horn loaded tweeters are perfectly matched for anyone familiar with the Reference Premiere range. The iconic Tractrix ® design is supported by a compressed moulded silicon face and phase plug which, when combined, deliver a dynamic and naturally clean high frequency response. Building on previous models, the RP-500M MKII increases the size of the horn for a smoother performance and larger directivity.
Cerametallic Innovation
Another signature feature of Klipsch’s Reference Premiere series, the Cerametallic™ woofers have for years impressed listeners with their sweeping dynamic voice, minimised distortion and exceptional power handling. Now Klipsch have innovated the classic design; 70 percent larger voice coils, new aluminium shorting rings and enhanced motor structure all promote the 5.25” spun copper woofers with flawless speed and control. An all new, emotive voice for the range.
Tractrix Throughout
Tractrix geometry is utilised throughout the Klipsch Reference Premiere range. Along with the horn, the RP-500M MKII uses a Tractrix designed port, with proprietary inner flares, to allow for the most efficient air transfer from the cabinet with minimised port turbulence, resulting in cleaner audio reproduction with much more powerful bass.
Vented Tweeter Design
The housing of the tweeter is key to reducing unwanted strain on the harmonic performance of the Klipsch RP-500M MKII. This vented design redirects and reduces standing waves, resulting in enhanced clarity and accuracy.
Linear Travel Suspension Technology
Linear Travel Suspension (or LTS) titanium diaphragm tweeters are an exclusive feature of Klipsch Reference line speakers and key in minimising distortion for unbeaten high frequency lucidity.
