Full Description
Anywhere in your Home Cinema
No matter your room configuration, the KEF R8 Meta can fit right in. This speaker has been designed to fill a selection of roles, including rear speaker, surround, wall-mounted or placed front-and-centre, sitting on top of your front speakers—a great match for any in the KEF R Series. The R8 is supplied with a set of rubber feet so that contact points with other speakers in your system remain unscratched and undamaged as well as being shielded from vibrations travelling to or from the cabinet during use.
Metamaterial Absorption Technology
As with the rest of the speakers into KEF R Series, the R8 Meta features MAT™ (Metamaterial Absorption Technology). This innovation—originally developed for KEF’s premium Reference Series speakers—is designed to disperse sound through a route of maze-like channels which sits at the rear of the driver. This diminishes unwanted sound by up to 99%, optimising your listening experience by making sure you only hear what you’re supposed to hear; The key to high-performance home cinema.
12th Generation Uni-Q Array
The same signature KEF Uni-Q Array appears in every speaker in the new R Series, ensuring that your home cinema is harmonically matched with consistent sonic characteristics, as well as delivering a wide optimal listening area. MAT supports the rear of the driver, along with features such as an ultra-low distortion midrange motor, reverberation shielding decoupling chassis and tweeter gap dampener, as well as the patented Tangerine Waveguide for more natural, smoother sound dispersal.
