Minimalistic, and futuristic, the LS60’s physical design reflects what KEF are aiming to achieve sonically. The LS60 looks and feels natural, and sleek.

Single Apparent Source Technology

Utilising precise calibration of their drivers, the LS60 gives exceedingly coherent sound that appears to come from a single point, delivering detailed stereo information and accurate sound across a larger space.

Uni-Q Driver Design

By placing the tweeter accurately at the acoustic centre of the bass/midrange drivers, both units act together as a single point source. This makes for a more even sound distribution, eliminating the need for sweet spots. The LS60 sounds its best absolutely everywhere.

Uni-Core Speaker Cones

KEF’s engineers have iterated on typical force cancelling speaker cones by combining the traditional back-to-back drivers into a single motor system. The overlapping voice coils deliver improved driver excursion, giving low frequencies more depth and output in smaller cabinets.

Metamaterial Absorption Technology

MAT™ is an advanced, maze-like structure that eliminates unwanted sound from the rear of the driver, giving pure, realistic sound. Designed in collaboration with the Acoustic Metamaterials Group, this feature revolutionises loudspeaker design.

Music Integrity Engine

The Music Integrity Engine, having been the heart of KEF’s previous LS50 Wireless II is a collection of bespoke Digital Signal Processing algorithms. These algorithms are optimised for the Uni-Q drivers, making them deliver a perfectly timed performance, improving imaging and tightening sound for snappy, clear transients.

Advanced Amplification

The LS60’s built-in amplifiers deliver a total of 1400 W of amplification. Class A/B tweeter amplification provides smooth, nuanced treble that fits the LS60’s natural, realistic sound. Then, dedicated Class D amplification powering the mid and bass drivers assure powerful, but controlled and articulate low-frequencies.

Comprehensive Connectivity

The LS60 supports audio streaming from a wide variety of formats. All major music streaming services, a wide range of supported audio formats, and wireless streaming via Chromecast, Bluetooth, or Roon are all options. Plus, wired HDMI, optical, coaxial, and RCA connections, as well as subwoofer outputs allow you to expand and use your system however suits you.
