Full Description
Most of its rivals can go loud and deep: the ASW610’s edge lies its lethally effective blend of power and poise, muscle and musicality.
Clear Cut Definition
The Bowers & Wilkins ASW610 is the mid-point of the 600 Series subwoofers. Whilst the cabinet remains relatively compact, its 10-inch paper / Aramid fibre cone drive unit makes it the perfect all-rounder for home cinema and HiFi. The long-throw design transmits low-frequency sound more directly into your listening room, keeping bass focused and tight. The sealed cabinet also ensures that its output is punchier and, in combination with its size, makes it perfect for mid-sized rooms where definition and accuracy is key.
Under the Hood
The low mass versatility of the 10-inch paper / Aramid fibre cone isn’t the only aspect that defines the ASW610. Reliable performance is key. That’s why this subwoofer has been fitted with a highly efficient 200W Class D amplifier, capitalising on the space available in an enclosure no bigger than 31cm high and wide. An amplifier of this calibre ensures the ASW610 can consistently deliver a punch in a pinch, no matter what you’re listening to. This subwoofer is a great addition to any speaker system lacking satisfying bass.
Take Control
To ensure integration is seamless, the ASW610 lets you fine-tune using a host of comprehensive controls on its rear panel. Here you will find adjustable volume and low-pass frequency dials, as well as switchable EQ, phase and bass extension. Having an extra level of configuration sets the ASW610 apart from other subwoofers at its level and lets you truly make your system your own. As well as these controls, you will also find Line Level and Speaker Level connections, meaning you can use amplifiers both old and new.
